An Introduction to Wire Units
Combining Fenac brand wire units and encoders, it is very easy to reach a high resolution and absolute position information in linear distance measurement!
The products are presented in three different body sizes between 0-10 meters and 55 mm for 0-1 meters, 80 mm for 0-5 meters, and 100 mm for 0-10 meters.
By using Fenac incremental and absolute encoders, resolution up to 3 µm can be achieved.
Fenac CANopen series encoders will adapt to your CANopen communication systems.
In systems where analog data is read, start and endpoint can be determined by FNC PAA series encoders and 0-10V or 4-20 mA output can be taken. Thanks to the teaching process, 0V can be obtained at the point where the measurement will start and 10V at the point where the measurement will end.
In systems where absolute position information is not desired, high-resolution distance measurement can be performed using incremental encoders.
With Fenac wire units and encoder systems, you can achieve high accuracy in any distance measurement!
